Franz Kafka's few published works give us a remarkably sophisticated insight into the darker depths of the early 20th century psyche. His stories, in which the petty tyrannies of contemporary bureaucracy and arbitrary social mores were magnified to nightmarish proportions, speak as eloquently of the world we live in today. In fact, I often wonder what Kafka would make of life in this first decade of our current century, so I decided to channel his spirit. This is what he made me write.
